Curt A. Natusch, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2018 at his home. A longtime resident of Northford, he was a devoted husband of 70 years to Barbara May Nann Natusch.
He was born in Naugatuck, CT on July 31, 1925 to the late Curt and Emma (Heinecke) Natusch. After serving in the Army in World War II he attended Springfield College, Colorado State College of Education, Cornell and Yale Universities. Curt was a member of the Quinnipiac College Faculty for over 30 years. In addition to his faculty position he served as Director of Admissions, Assistant Dean of Evening Studies, Director of Summer School, Chairman of the College Senate and Chairman of the Management Department. He maintained personal friendships with many of his students and was affectionately known as ‘Sarg”.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his nieces; the late Sheri Carlson, Sheila Rudolph and Lynn Kenmore and his nephews; Thomas Natusch and Don Smith. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Natusch and three sisters, Beatrice Smith, Alois Farley, and Doris Carlson.
Curt was scholarly, intellectual, witty and an inventive person. As a farmer, he delighted everyone with an exceptional produce from large gardens. He also amazed colleagues and friends with his unique ability for design and innovation. He will always be remembered by his beloved wife and devoted loyal and loving friends, especially Robert and Janet Halliday, and family.
