Saturday, August 3, 2019 Evelyn D Adams of Meriden, CT passed away after a brief illness while at Midstate Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1928 in Oradell, NJ to Victor and Ethel Post. After graduating high school, she went to nursing school to become a registered nurse. During her nursing career she did pediatric care and then went on to become a nursing supervisor at a nursing home in Manassas, VA.

She met her husband, John R. Adams, while she was a patient at Atlantic City Hospital. They married on August 12,1966 in Brigantine, NJ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jean Gianniny of Charlottesville, VA and her husband John Adams of Meriden.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Adams) Halpin and her husband Lawrence Halpin, Jr of Meriden. Donna (Kellar) Furtado and her husband Stevens Furtado of Trussville, AL and Jean-Ann (Kellar) Condra of Springfield, MO and a step-son Michael Adams and his wife Vicky Adams of Browns Mills, NJ.

also survived by her nephews Bob Gianniny and his wife Karen, Don Gianniny and his wife Chris, Jim Gianniny and his wife Connie, Pete Gianniny and his wife Laura and Gary Gianniny and his wife Cynthia. She had 10 grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

Evelyn loved to spend her summers at the beach and crocheting a variety of items for loved ones and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Wimodausis Eastern Star Chapter #106 in Manassas, VA and was a very loving wife and mother who will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Connecticut Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane in Middletown, CT.
