Peter Halbauer Tribute

Peter G. Halbauer passed away suddenly Sunday, August 11, 2019 at age 57.

He is the son of Elizabeth Halbauer and the late Robert Halbauer. He is survived by his brothers: Robert, Jr (Elizabeth), Michael, Eric and Richard, his longtime partner Jeffrey, niece Alexandra, nephew Ethan, as well as many cousins, relatives and friends. He will be sorely missed by all.

Peter was a graduate of Henderson High School in West Chester, PA, attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, trained at the Joffrey Ballet School of New York and graduated with BA in English from NYU in New York, NY.

A longtime resident of Manhattan, NY, Peter worked as a professional dancer. He was also at employed at Smith and Wollensky Restaurant and as a writer before settling to New Haven, Connecticut. Peter had a love of the arts, gardening, cooking and floral design.
