Gary Patino Tribute

Gary Patino Sr., age 66, of Meriden, CT passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 12th, 2022 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by family.

Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary (LaBissoniere) Patino, and his children; Sarah Paul and wife Christina of Oregon, Amy Pagini and husband Jeff of Thomaston, CT, Gary Patino of Wallingford, CT, Jessica Piccirillo and husband Dana of Meriden, CT, and Kelly Papale and husband Dan of Wallingford, CT; his grandchildren; Kelton Paul, Lilly DeStefano, Aiden Roberts, Emma and Kaitlyn Pagini, Natalia, Lydia, Evelyn and T.B.D. Piccirillo; his mother Pearl Patino of Agawam, MA; his siblings Joe Patino and wife Marty of TX, Tom Patino and wife Vicki of FL, and Karen Patino of Agawam, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family living all throughout the country.

He is pre-deceased by his daughter, Danielle Patino EM2 and father, Clifford Patino.

Gary served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1977 as a Sonar Technician Petty Officer 3rd Class. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Gary was a jack of all trades and had many jobs, from Pizza Maker to House Painter. He loved owning his own businesses and working for himself. In 2002, he finally found his calling and went back to school to earn his MBA and he became a Certified Public Accountant. He then went to teach at CCSU as an accounting professor and became owner of Workers Tax Service in Meriden, CT. 

Gary and his wife shared an eclectic style and love of antiquing and family activities like scavenger hunts, jump-scaring their children, trivia, sarcastic humor, and laughing.

There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Gary on Friday, September 23rd from 12 pm to 4 pm at "The Italian Club" in Wallingford, CT. The address is: Libero Pensiero Society, 91 Dudley Ave. Wallingford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, do something that will make that next person a little better. The Cremation Society of New England is honored to have been entrusted with Gary's care and final arrangements.
