Rosemarie Hood

TORRINGTON – Rosemarie Hood, 54, a resident of Torrington, passed away on June 2, 2021 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington.

She was born Sept. 2, 1966, in Southington, the daughter of the late Robert and Mallie (Perillo) Hood. Rose was a very loving, kind and friendly person with the best laugh and smile. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved crafts and playing games (Boggle) with her grandchildren. Rose loved nature, animals, and having family gatherings.

Rose is survived by her daughter, MeaganRose Rodriguez and her husband, Jossie, and two grandchildren, Autumn and Bailee Thompson, of Torrington. Besides her daughter and grandchildren, she is survived by her three brothers, Robert Hood and his wife, Karen, of Killingworth, Joseph Hood and his wife, Bonnie, of Wellsboro, Pa., and Paul Hood and his wife, Julie, of Thomaston, a sister, Bernadette Hood of Torrington, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hour will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St,Torrington, with a Mass directly following at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Torrington Animal Control Facility, 248 Bogue Rd., Harwinton.
