Ryan Daniel Wheeler (born May 25,1986, age 35) sauntered peacefully into his next campaign on December 28, 2021 with his wife, Meghan (Koczak) Wheeler by his side. He was the beloved husband to Meghan and father to Ryker Wheeler. With a Masters in Physiology and Neurobiology, Ryan was a phenomenal adjunct professor at Goodwin University and Quinnipiac University. Ryan thoroughly enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons, Pokemon GO, various board games, slacklining, cooking, baking, watching the Boston Bruins, Pi and hiking. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife Meghan and his pride and joy, Ryker, and the dad jokes that coincided.
Ryan leaves behind his family in WA, mother Tina (Craig) Nichols, brother Gary (Krista) Ooten, step siblings Charlee Nichols, Aimee Nichols, Garrett Nichols. He also leaves behind family in CT, father Ralph Wheeler, Ronette Politis, step siblings Heather Lamper, Monica (Craig) Viegas, in-laws Mary and David Koczak Sr., Katherine (Sam) Sidiropoulos, David (Lisa) Koczak, in FL beloved grandfather Russell Wheeler. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends, who he loved dearly with all of his heart. Ryan was predeceased by grandparents Shirley Esch and Eugene Esch (WA), grandmother Judith Cook and Aunt Leslie Cook (CT).
Ryan’s presence was as calming as his brilliance. His laugh was infectious, and he was the most genuine soul one would ever meet. He hands down gave the best hugs anyone could ever give, and you would feel his kindness and compassion within each embrace. Ryan fought with dignity, he fought with bravery, and above all else he fought with humility.
In lieu of services there will be a Celebration of Life held in May 2022. More information regarding Ryan’s battle with synovial sarcoma cancer and the Celebration of Life can be found on GoFundMe website under “Love and Support for the Wheeler Family” created by Lisa Koczak (https://www.gofundme.com/f/love-and-support-for-the-wheeler-family.).
