Wayne Mark Gorman

WATERBURY- Wayne Mark Gorman passed away peacefully May 26, 2020 at his home. Wayne was the beloved husband of Theresa (Stevens) Gorman for 52 years.

Wayne was born in Waterbury Sept. 27, 1946 son of Evelyn (Frenzel) and John Gorman. Wayne was a devoted husband, father and PopPop, always putting the wants and needs of his family first.

Wayne grew up in Wolcott and graduated from Wolcott HS then continued his education at the University of New Haven. He was an avid sports fan, especially his undying loyalty to the NY Giants.

Wayne was active in his church, teaching Sunday School and preparing monthly breakfasts for the parish. He was a director for Habitat for Humanity of Gr. Waterbury for many years.

Wayne leaves behind his wife Theresa and sons Mark (Jodi) Gorman, Michael (Shante) Gorman, 3 granddaughters Emma, Madison and Skyler, his brother Russell (Lynn) Gorman and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private with a memorial service at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Oakville at a future date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Wayne to All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 262 Main St., Oakville CT 06779.
