Wayne Paul Maheu

Hampton - Wayne Maheu, 61, passed away on July 1, 2021. Born May 22, 1960 in Willimantic, CT, son of the late Romeo Sr. and Rita (Genest) Maheu.

Wayne lived in Hampton, CT all of his life. He graduated from Windham Tech in 1980. Wayne was a Red Sox Fan and a NASCAR Fan. Wayne was well know as a back yard mechanic.

Wayne worked many years for F.W. Mayo & Sons and most recently from Willimantic Waste Paper.

Wayne is survived by 4 children: Sarah, LeeAnn & Michael Maheu and Matthew Hall-Maheu. Wayne is survived by 8 Grandchildren: Emallee, Nick, Jadyn, Ivy, Geovanie, Michael II, Treson & Elijah. Wayne is survived by 6 sisters: Ann (Jeff) Freeman, Ramona (Mark) Dagenais, Waneta Auger, Marlene Maheu, Beth (Bill) Preston & Patricia (David) Waldron. Wayne is survived by 2 brothers: Steven and Michael Maheu. Wayne is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a best friend Arnold (Corinne) Greenman. Wayne was predeceased by 2 brothers: Romeo Jr.and Armand Maheu, and 1 grandson Tristan.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 24, 2021 at 57 Lake Street, Moosup, CT 06354 at 2:00pm.
