CLINTON - Hayden Alfred Patten, 85, a.k.a. Pat, grandpat, and pop pop, was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Portland, Maine, and was a longtime resident of Clinton. He passed away peacefully in his home on Dec. 3, 2017.

He served eight years as a field wireman in the Armed Forces; he retired from Electric Boat in 1995. He loved to fish, to watch late night wrestling, and to tinker in his workshop. He was a man of many jokes and silly sayings that brought joy to our lives.

Pat is survived by his wife Noma Patten Andrade; daughter Cynthia Leonard; son John Patten; stepdaughter Toni Brow, stepson Mark Andrade; stepson Charles Andrade, Jr.; and stepdaughter Wendy Rehberg Andrade. He is also survived by his brother Clyde Patten; sister Arlene Kramer, a.k.a. Maude; sister Carol Hill; two granddaughters; 15 step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Althea Patten, his father Merton Patten, his brother Lewis Patten, and his brother Eugene Patten.

We want to inform our friends and family that there will be no services of any kind according to Pat’s wishes. He will be missed by us all (his wife says “love you honey”). Condolences of any kind can be sent to 6 Woods Ln., Clinton, CT 06413.
