Anna (Mazza) Giannetti, 78, of Middletown, CT, loving wife of 58 years to Joseph G. Giannetti, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 2, 2018.

Anna was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 30, 1940. She was the daughter to the late Antonio and Anna (Palumbo) Mazza. Anna received her B.A. at Southern Connecticut State University and her Master's Degree at Central Connecticut State University.

Anna will be cherished in the hearts of her husband Joseph, her daughter Kimberly of Middletown, CT and her sons, Christopher of Averill Park, NY and Joel of New Buffalo, Michigan. Anna also leaves her five grandchildren, Justin (31), Nicholas (26), Hunter (21), Emmett (20) and Sophia (18). In addition, she leaves behind her sister, Rosina Torelli and her brother, Anthony Mazza as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends who meant so much to her.

Anna spent her early years as an educator in the Middletown school system. She then started a second career as a business woman owning two very successful businesses, Falcon Express Office Products in Middletown, CT and Imperial Stationery in New Haven, CT as well as being President of Connecticut Office Supply Co. Inc. of Meriden, CT. After retiring, Anna enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, cooking, reading and most importantly family time with her children and grandchildren. Anna enjoyed donating her time to many local organizations. She was past President of the Meriden Symphony, past President of the Meriden Kiwanis Club, volunteered at the Meriden Soup Kitchen and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Meriden.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Meriden on 460 Broad Street in Meriden, CT 06450. The service will be held at 10:00. Doors will be open at 9:00 for those who would like to pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Meriden Kiwanis Foundations for an educational scholarship in Anna's name. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the A.C.U. team at Masonicare for their care and support.
