Arlene Mae Pocevic

Arlene Mae Pocevic passed away on March 18, 2018.  She was born on August 30, 1938 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Peter and Margaret Hatrick.  She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Pocevic, Sr.

Arlene lived most of her life in Milford, Connecticut, where she was employed by Bic Pen Corporation for 32 years.   Arlene enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, arts and crafts and playing with her beloved dog, Zoey.  She loved all holidays, especially Halloween when she would dress up to the delight of her family and neighbors.

Arlene is survived by her children Arlene Michelle Pocevic, April Limauro (Marino), Arthur Pocevic, Jr. (Jessica), Adam Pocevic, Thomas Pocevic (Aziza) and several grandchildren. She is survived by 4 siblings and predeceased by 10 siblings. In addition to her family, Arlene is survived by good friends Audrey Fitting and Elsie Carano.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Masonicare for their care and treatment of Arlene.  They would also like to thank her close group of neighbors who helped care for and comfort Arlene in her final days.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, to which Arlene was a lifelong supporter.
