Bobby Howell Tribute

Bobby Odell Howell of Seymour, CT was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this world suddenly on March 29, 2022 at age 80.

Bobby was born to the late Samuel Odell Howell and Nellie (Craddock) Howell on March 1, 1942.  After graduating from high school in Virgina, Bobby was drafted into the military.   After military service, Bobby moved to Connecticut to work at Sikorsky Aircraft.  He met his wife, Donna, in 1971. Together, they had three children: Barbara Howell-Lepri (Christopher), Charles Howell and Jennifer Quinlan (Daniel). He is survived by his children, grandchildren Emily and Sarah Quinlan, along with many foster grandchildren over the years. He is also survived by his brother Charles Howell of Waynesboro, Virginia and sister Betty Towry of Huntsville, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Dwain Combs.

Bobby was a quiet man, but he was so generous and kind.  He loved to work on cars and always had several projects in the works. He was an active participant in AA and helped change many people's lives for over 50 years. 

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on April 9, 2022 located at the Christ Episcopal Church at 56 So. Cliff St in Ansonia, CT.  A reception is to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 25 Great Hill Rd. in Oxford, CT.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to AA, Immanuel Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice on his behalf.
