We regretfully announce the passing of Cheryl Sickola-Chesnas, born December 16, 1954, who left us on April 21, 2025.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Joseph Chesnas IV and his wife, Pamela Chesnas; cherished granddaughter, Natalia Chesnas, with whom she shared a special bond; and her grandson, Joey Chesnas V. She also leaves behind her long-time best friend, MaryJo Palladino.
Eternally intrigued by the wonders of nature, Cheryl spent countless hours caring for her plants and feeding the animals in her backyard. Her garden was her haven and favorite place to be. This connection to nature extended to her favorite vacation spot, Cape Cod. The serene beauty of Cape Cod was where Cheryl shared many happy moments with friends and family.
Every Sunday night, Cheryl and Natalia would speak on the phone. She was always the first person to cheer for her granddaughter’s accomplishments in school or on the track.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Connecticut Audubon Society.
