Edward Moran, 76, loving husband and father and resident of Cheshire, CT for over four decades, passed away October 25, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Edward is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anne Marie Moran née Moccia, his four children: Edward (Tracy) Moran of Middletown, CT, Kristen and Lauren Moran of Cheshire, CT, Bryan (Alyssah) Moran of Wallingford, CT, his sister Teresa Moran, his niece Amanda Carey, his nephew Anthony Moccia, his beloved cat Lucas, and many cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Natalie Moran and his brother Joseph Moran Jr.
Edward served for four years in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and over ten years in the Army Reserves. Edward was also a loyal employee of the West Haven VA for over 38 years as a Radiologic Technologist and will be sorely missed by his longtime peers and coworkers. Edward was known for his love of reading and history, as well as vacationing in Cape Cod where he spent much time with his wife and children.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of the West Haven VA who worked with Edward for decades and provided loving support for the last weeks of his life.
Services will be private for immediate family, but prayers and words of support are appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the West Haven VA or the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
