NAUGATUCK – Ernesto “Mousie” Aviles, 81, of Naugatuck, passed away on Aug. 12, 2024, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1942, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to Ernesto Aviles and Alejandrina Guzman. Ernest worked as a machine operator at EFI for many years before retiring. He loved sports and was an avid New York Mets, Jets and Knicks fan.
He loved spending time with his family, dancing, music, and adored watching his grandchildren play sports.
Ernest is survived by his three sisters, Martha, Veronica, and Evelyn Maldonado; 10 children and many grandchildren.
Ernest was known and loved for his unapologetic humor and being genuinely himself. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Services will be private.
