Frances V. Thomas

Frances V. Thomas, 88, of Westport, CT, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026.

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Frances was ahead of her time, prioritizing education instead of conforming to the traditional role of being a housewife. She proudly became the first in her family to obtain a college degree. In her younger days, she was often seen driving her convertible, her long blonde hair dancing in the breeze as she made her way to the beach. Fran transformed her love for travel into a rewarding career as a travel agent, which allowed her to live her dreams of exploring the world. She also had a deep passion for gardening, dancing, cooking, and playing bridge, among other interests. Known for her vibrant personality, Fran was always active and engaged in various clubs and community activities.

Frances is survived by her two daughters, Elisa and Renée, her son-in-law Nick, her Goddaughter Barbara Ann, and her beloved friends and family. Fran's spirit will forever remain in our hearts and in the beautiful places she visited.
