Glen Brewer, 68, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on September 4, 2025 in Hartford, CT. Born on July 31, 1957 in Southington, CT, Glen lived a life marked by dedication to his craft and deep devotion to his family.
A gifted mechanic with an unmatched work ethic, Glen owned and operated his own shop for many years. He took immense pride in his work and was known for his generosity and mentorship; His passion extended beyond the garage; he was an avid collector tools, which he treasured as symbols of his lifelong commitment to the trade.
Glen's greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He cherished every moment with his daughters and granddaughter. He took special delight in spoiling the women in his life and made sure they always felt loved and supported. He is survived by his loving wife Tonya Brewer of Hartford; daughters Kimberly Brewer and Jessica Yard, son-in-law Alan Yard, and granddaughter Caytee Brewer. Also survived by brother-in-law John Green and his wife Becky.
Additionally, he is survived by his father Keith Brewer, his sisters: Connie Salsbury and her husband Mark, Deborah Cahill and her husband Joseph, Carol Letourneau and her husband Clement, Sue Fournier and her husband Donald, and Jennifer Brewer. Glen is also survived by his brother David Brewer.
Glen now joins those who have passed before him: his mother Dorothy Brewer; brother Keith Brewer; and sister-in-law Lynn Brewer.
Glen will be remembered not only for his mechanical skill but also for the warmth he brought to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
A Memorial gathering will be held on September 18, 2025 at Oasis of Life Christian Church, 945 Cromwell Avenue, Rocky Hill, CT with calling hours between 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will begin at 12:45 PM at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Avenue, Bristol, CT
