Hope M Smith

Sadly, Hope M. Smith unexpectedly passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

Hope was born to parents Timothy J. Smith and Zina M. (Mellas) Smith of New Milford, Connecticut on April 16, 1999. She was predeceased by her father Timothy on November 2, 2022. Hope lived her entire life in New Milford, CT.

Hope attended and graduated from the American School for the Deaf (ASD) in West Hartford, CT in 2017. After graduating from ASD, Hope attended the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) in Rochester, New York where she studied Photography.

Hope's love for cats inspired her to volunteer her time taking care of cats at Because 4 PAWS - Animal Rescue and at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford.

Hope is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins from Connecticut, Florida, and Maine, as well as many beloved friends she made throughout her brief life.

Hope loved rainbows, tie dye, and mandala, and will be greatly missed by her two cherished cats Jazzy and Auri.

Arrangements for a Celebration of Life for Hope and her father, Timothy, will take place on September 24, 2023 at Harrybrooke Park (Ohmen Pavillion), 100 Still River Road, New Milford, CT 06776 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served. The Cremation Society of New England is honored to have been entrusted with Hope's care and final arrangements.
