Jarrett Marlin Tribute

Jarrett F. Marlin, age 54, of Shelton entered into rest on Friday, April 2, 2021 at home, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Bridgeport on May 5, 1966 and was the son of the late Frank and Janice (Raffay) Marlin.

Jarrett had one of the biggest hearts of anyone you’d meet and would give up the shirt on his back if you needed it. His laugh was infectious with joy and would have you smiling in no time. Jarrett loved to go fishing and camping at the family property, play cards with old friends and having game night with his beloved family. Jarrett enjoyed going on road trips while antiquing along the way. One of his favorite things to do was play softball for the town of Shelton. He spent 38 years working at Jones Family Farm during the Christmas season and his life in construction, both of which he valued and took great pride in.

Jarrett is the beloved brother of JoDee (Marlin) D’Agnone and her partner Mike Alterio and his brother Jay Marlin and his wife Rachel (Pawlyk). He is also survived by his cherished cousins Brad Atkinson and his wife Shannon (Skinner), Jennifer (Walker) Kurowski and her husband Scott and children, Mary (Walker) Flores and her husband Juan and his loving nieces and nephews Anthony D’Agnone, Kyle Marlin, Jake Marlin, Alyssa Marlin, Tyler Atkinson and Samantha Atkinson. Jarrett also leaves behind his Aunt, Jill Walker, step mother, Joan Marlin and his step sisters and brothers, Karen Feenan, Mary Louise Feenan-Neville, Tara Feenan, Jimmy Feenan, Tommy Feenan and Brian Feenan. Jarrett is also remembered with love by Betsy Dutton and her boys, Kenny, Michael and Ryan.

A mass for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as necessary.
