Joseph E. Alexinski, Jr.

Joseph E Alexinski Jr, 62 of Windsor, CT passed away at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side after a short illness.  Joe was born in Waterbury, CT on June 11, 1955.

Joe met and married the love of his life Denise (Levesque) of 38 years. Joe is survived by his two children: Sarah of Farmington, CT and Dan of Charlotte, NC and his sister Elsa of Texas.  He leaves a large extended family, many nieces and nephews.  Joe also leaves behind his faithful dog, Murphy.

Joe worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years where he became close with many long term friends, especially Dan and Vinny.  Joe was an avid sports fan, loving the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and UConn Basketball.  He loved getting his hands dirty and his garden was a work of art.  He spent many hours tending his gardens and this was a passion of his for over 20 years.  Joe also had a great love for books.  He loved spending time with his family and having friends to his home.

Joe was predeceased by his parents Marion (Donahue) and Joseph, a sister Norma and his beloved aunt Sister Elise.

A service will be held on February 15 at Saint Patrick’s/Saint Anthony’s in Hartford, CT at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CT Humane Society of Newington. For online condolences please visit www.NewEnglandCremation.com.
