Joseph J. Falanga Jr., 68, of West Haven, CT, passed away on February 18, 2021 at CT Hospice in Branford, CT, after a brave fight with cancer.

Joseph was born in 1952, in Bridgeport, CT. He was the loving husband of his late wife, Eleanor Cartiglia Falanga. Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph J. Falanga III (Robin) of West Haven, CT; Alicyn Falanga of West Haven, CT. and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Deborah (Martin) Capodilupo; Leslie (Elisa) Brown, both of SC. Mark (Fran) Falanga of Woodstock,CT; Andrew Falanga of West Haven, CT and his father, Joseph J Falanga Sr. of Plainville, CT.

Joseph was an electrician by trade and was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. Joseph loved to fish, hunt and design jewelry. He leaves behind his cat Missy and his loving Iguana, Henry.

A private memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joseph J. Falanga Jr., can be made to the Closer to Free Fund at Smilow Cancer Hospital. Secure online gifts can be made at www.giveclosertofree.org.
