Judith Rowe Tribute

Judith Ann Rowe, 71 of Somers, CT passed away peacefully late Friday on May 8, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Judy was born August 24, 1948 in Hartford, CT to Earl and Barbara Rowe. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Kimberly Zajac and Katia Perrone, grandson Tevin and granddaughter Gabriella. She also leaves behind her sister and brother in law Melanie and Bruce Jones, nephew Kevin, niece Allison and great nephew Myles as well as her brothers Philip and Earl Rowe.

She was a strong, resilient woman, as she faced many years living with Lupus, Heart Disease, Rheumatoid arthritis, Kidney Disease, MRSA and was a 3-time cancer survivor.

Judy grew up in Colchester, CT, moved to East Hartford during her senior year and graduated from Penney High School in 1966. Judy graduated from a Creative Hair Academy and was later accepted into the Human Services Program at Castle Junior College. She raised her daughter in Stafford Springs, CT and in 1986 moved to New Hampshire which she absolutely loved and called home. She moved to Somers, CT in 2018 to be closer to her daughter.

Judy was a free spirit who loved music, dancing, nature, being at the lake, the moon and stars and was proud to have been able to attend Woodstock in 1969. She was also a Lifelong member of AA, where she found the life mantras she lived by and developed many meaningful friendships.

Judy was extremely artistic expressing herself through her many talents such as writing, crocheting, sewing, painting and jewelry making. When she was not inside crafting, she found joy in gardening and nature. Judy also loved animals especially her rescued dogs, Luke, Piper and Cricket.

She always took pride in her image, maintaining her youthful look and trendy fashion flair. She loved reading books and doing puzzles, enjoyed campfires, the smell of pine and patchouli and liked eating peanut butter, chocolate mousse, and anything blackened on the grill. Judy had a colorful, eclectic soul and will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held this Summer.
