Linda Brown Tribute

Linda Sharon Brown, 71, of West Haven, CT, passed away on December 2, 2025 at Milford
Hospital. She was born on November 16, 1954, in Bridgeport, CT to Nellie & Marshall Lee. She
attended Bassick High School & graduated in the early 1970's. Linda worked as a
communication specialist at SNET for her entire career and retired after over 40 years of
service.

She enjoyed shopping at craft stores to purchase her materials to crochet. She enjoyed making
blankets and scarves for her family and loved ones. She also loved to travel, visiting places
such as Virginia, Florida, and Las Vegas to spend time with her family. Back home, she loved
going to Mohegan Sun in her free time to enjoy the casino and catch live music at the Wolf Den.

Linda was a bookworm and took any chance she could to relax with a good romance novel. She
would finish reading books within three days. Her favorite author was Brenda Jackson, and she
was always excited for newly released books.

In her spare time, Linda adored taking her kids on vacation and volunteering at the Shubert
Theater. She was known for being a great host, hosting numerous family gatherings such as
cookouts, holiday dinners, card games and game nights. She never took life for granted and
spent time soaking in the world around her through scenic car rides, relaxing at the beach,
shopping, and observing the lives around her.

Linda had the biggest heart, a forgiving heart, and will be remembered for her kindness and her
support of others.

Linda is survived by her husband, Mark Brown, their three sons Marcus, Marvis and Marlon, and
her two grandsons Melvontae and Markel Brown.

Linda also leaves behind her sister Sandra Lee, brother Ronnie Lee (Denise), and a host of
cousins, nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents and siblings Willie Lee,
Gloria Lee, and David Lee

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Those who wish to honor Linda's
memory may make a donation to The Shubert Theater, a place that reflects her love of
performance arts.
