Marion A. Quaka (Wargo), 86 years, beloved mother, aunt and friend of many, entered into eternal rest on August 21, 2025. Marion was born in Bridgeport, CT, on April 28, 1939 and recently resided in Shelton, CT, until her passing on August 21, 2025.
She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Marion Paul (Quaka) of Meriden, CT, and her son, Thomas M. Quaka Jr., and his wife, Ellen, also of Meriden. She was predeceased by her two beloved brothers, Raymond Wargo of Bridgeport, CT and Stephen Wargo of Stratford, CT.
Marion was known for her love of animals, her contagious laughter, and her generous spirit. She was deeply committed to her church family at White Oak Baptist Church, where she faithfully served and touched countless lives with her devotion and kindness. Throughout her working years, Marion held various administrative support roles at Sikorsky Aircraft, The Pilot Pen Corporation and Webster Bank.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 5th, at 10:00 AM at White Oak Baptist Church, 5344 Main Street, Stratford, CT. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Marion's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Connecticut Humane Society, reflecting her lifelong love and care for animals. Marion will be remembered as a woman of faith, generosity, and joy. She loved her children dearly and brought light and laughter to all who knew her.
