Mark Chapman, 63, passed away on December 8, 2025, at home in Wallingford with his wife,
Louise (Hoffman) Chapman and his cats and dogs by his side. Mark was born in Bridgeport, CT
to Charles Chapman and Dorothy Chapman.
Mark lived life with a bright spirit and an open heart. Known for his outgoing personality and
wonderful sense of humor, he had a remarkable way of making everyone around him feel
welcomed and comfortable. He is survived by his wife, Louise, his brother Brian Chapman, and
many friends who were like family.
A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, especially his choppers. He found freedom on the open road
and always said it was where he could stay in the moment and get the right answer to whatever
was troubling you . Some of his happiest days were spent cruising and spending time with other
bikers. When not at bike events he had a special fondness for life’s simple pleasures—looking
for great pizza or burgers, watching classic TV shows and movies, and spending time with his
pets.
Above all, Mark cherished his family and friends. He was a devoted husband and friend whose
kindness, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Though he is no
longer with us, his laughter, love, and adventurous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of
all who knew him. Services will be private at a later date.
