Michael Prodoti

Our beloved Michael "Mickey the Bear" Prodoti, of New Haven, passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, November 6th,2023. Born October 17th,1944 in New Haven to the late Michael Prodoti and Stella (Addario) Prodoti.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Kim Prodoti, who spent the last years of his life caring for him and making sure he was happy and comfortable until the very end. He also leaves behind his children who he adored, Michael Prodoti (Anne) of North Branford, Ralph Prodoti of Arizona, Tina Masciangelo (Nick) of North Haven, Sarah Prodoti (Joshua Danz) of New Haven and his stepsons George Schoendorf and Jesse Peloski (Natasha Anderson) as well as his grandchildren, who, as he always said were "his heart", David Casner, Michael Prodoti, Francesca Masciangelo and Benjamin Danz. He will be cherished in the memories of his sister Amelia (Millie) Iannucci of North Haven and brother Guido Prodoti (Anne) of New Haven in addition to many nieces and nephews who he loved and looked at him like a father figure.  Mickey is also survived by his lifelong friends Vincent and Carmel Ruotolo of East Haven.  Besides his parents he is predeceased by his siblings, Angelo Prodoti, James Prodoti, Alice Pocograno, George Prodoti, Dominick Prodoti and Stella Barbato, as well as his first wife and lifelong friend, Theresa "Terry Ann" Schoendorf and second wife Annette Omara Prodoti.

Michael was a welder and business owner for many years, he loved to draw and try new hobbies. Back in the day he made custom motorcycle seats, and loved to work with his hands. Not a day went by that he wasn't singing and making jokes.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, beginning at 12:00 PM at  the St Vincent De Paul Chapel, 80 Taylor Ave, East Haven, CT.
