Robert L. LaBonia

Robert "Bob" LaBonia, longtime resident of Cheshire, CT, died peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022. He was 70 years old. Bob was born in New Haven, the son of the late Anthony and Lena LaBonia, and grew up in Hamden.
Bob was active in sports while in high school and was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching youth, high school and college sports and enjoyed coaching youth teams in his earlier days. He had a love for the Jersey Shore, especially Wildwood. He worked as a salesman in the trucking industry for many years up until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Diane LaBonia, daughter Amy LaBonia, and son, Matthew LaBonia and wife, Stephanie and precious grandson, Miles. He leaves his devoted and loving sister, Joyce Sullivan and husband Steve along with loving brother, Leonard LaBonia and wife Sue. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with his Slowik brothers-in-law and their wives and families.
