Scott St. Germain Tribute

Scott Paul St. Germain, 54, was granted peace on April 7, 2023. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Scott had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet memorable life.

Scott was born on July 31,1968 in New London, Connecticut to Collette (Carbonneau) Shaw and Joseph St. Germain. His time in Rocky Hill included basketball and baseball games, riding bikes and fishing all of which he continued to love until his last day. Scott attended South Catholic High School in Hartford, CT and quickly moved to the Vermont mountains to attend college, where he made lifelong friends. He graduated from Southern Vermont College with an accounting degree, working in the hospitality industry. It didn't take Scott long to find his passion, the mountains of Idaho and Montana where he lived most of his adult life.

Montana is where Scott found peace and the love of his life, Carol Zimmer. Their time together was magical and cut far too short. Scott was never far from a Grateful Dead festival, lake, stream or river where the fish never stood a chance. Days were spent on his various lakes with Scott dragging the kids on tubes and water skis, laughing as he sped up around the corners. Many fishing lessons were given and kayaks loaded into and out of the water. He was never shy about spoiling those around him. Scott's friendships are legendary and his friends surrounded him with peace and love in his final days.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph St. Germain and wife Arlene of Hobe Sound, Florida, his mother, Collette Carbonneau Shaw and husband Bud of Mashpee, MA, brother and spouse, Brian and Carey St. Germain and his sister and spouse, Claudine and Mark Lavoie and nieces and nephew, Alexa and Deanna St. Germain and Hannah and Matthew Lavoie along with countless aunts, uncles and friends. Scott's beloved girlfriend, Carol, made his world that much sweeter.

Services for Scott will reflect the life he lived: family, friends, music and food. A celebration of life will take place on June 24, 2023 in Connecticut with a separate ceremony on the Yellowstone River in July. More information to follow. Charitable donations can be made in his honor to the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation. https://www.ydccf.org/give
