Susan C. Demers

Susan C. Demers of Wolcott, CT passed away after a long illness on April 12, 2022. She was born in New Britain, CT on September 5, 1947 to Clara (Williams) and Charles Henninger.

 Sue grew up in Wolcott and had a long and diverse career in the health care field with a brief departure as a security guard. Sue was proud of her brown belt in karate, which helped land her a security job at The Taft School in Watertown, where she met her second husband. Susan had a great love for her family and friends as well as a love for animals, especially her cat Daisy.

 Susan was predeceased by her husbands, Robert “Bob” Demers and Samuel “Sam” Reid, and her brother Robert Henninger. She is survived by her stepchildren, Patricia (Reid) Cavanaugh and Sheila (Reid) and Albert “Skip” Baummer; her step-grandchildren April Nowicki and her husband Justin Klatt, Colin Baummer-Carr and his wife Arlinda, Rachel Nowicki and her husband Michael Hodges, and Andrew Baummer; her step-great grandchildren, Juliet and Janelle Baummer-Carr; her nephew Daniel Henninger; her nieces Heidi Henninger and Karin Schwartz; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Susan also leaves behind her dear friends Tom and Judy Wyatt, and Jose and Maria Pedraza.
