William G. Tsolis, 81, of Guilford, CT, passed away peacefully after a short illness
on June 28, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of
Mary (Sumski) Tsolis.
William was born in New Haven, CT, February 12, 1944. He was the cherished
son of the late George and Nettie Tsolis. He went to East Haven High School and
served in the United States Army. William went on to work in the Tool and Die
industry for many years and then with CT Transit until his retirement.
In addition to traveling with his wife, Mary, William enjoyed working on cars and
fixing anything he could get his hands on. He also enjoyed conversations
reminiscing about the past with his many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Sumski) Tsolis; daughter, Janice (Randy)
Will; sons, Eric (Susan) Tsolis and Craig (Gia) Tsolis; daughter-in-law, Deborah
Collette and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, William Tsolis
and brother, Gregory Tsolis.
Funeral services will be private. Interment of cremains will take place in All Saints
Mausoleum in North Haven. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the
doctors, nurses and staff of Yale New Haven Hospital for their wonderful care of
William.
