Our Costs

Unlike most traditional funeral homes, we post our pricing information right here on our website. This makes it easy for you to compare prices and shows that you can receive quality service from a reputable provider at a fair, affordable price. 

SIMPLE CREMATION PLAN - $1495

This simple and inexpensive offering is a comprehensive package includes all of the items required for a direct cremation:

  • Essential basic services of the funeral director,
  • Securing necessary burial/transfer  permit,
  • Securing necessary cremation permit,
  • Transfer from the institution of death (within CT),
  • Sheltering of the remains as necessary, 
  • Standard transportation to the crematory,
  • Alternative cardboard cremation container,

Our fees also include required third party expenses such as:

  • Medical Examiner's fee, 
  • Crematory fee,
  • All necessary permits 

Full Disclosure:  Nothing Hidden - No Surprises

You may add to our basic package standard services such as obtaining certified copies of the death certificate on your behalf. You may also purchase items such as an upgraded or keepsake urn and cremation jewelry. Each service and item is individually priced.

Securing Certified Copies of the Death Certificate                                                        $150.00
Death certificates are filed by Certified Registered Mail per CT state statutes within five days of certification by physician. If this option is selected we will expedite and file the Connecticut death certificate in person within 48 hours of certification by physician in person to the Town Clerk’s Office in the town where the death occurred. We then can obtain in person the quantity of certified copies that you desire at a cost of $20.00 per copy.

Surgical Removal of Pacemaker/Defibrillator                                                               $125.00
Removal of pacemakers and defibrillators (which are explosive) is a requirement of the crematory for all cremations.

Human Remains Pouch                                                                                                        $35.00
Required for all cremations by state law. Cost is only if not provided by the purchaser or healthcare institution. All Connecticut hospitals provide a remains pouch.

Extra removal technician (when needed)                                                                        $125.00
Additional removal technicians are required for all residential deaths and all individuals in excess of 225 lbs.

Fees for Handling Cremated Remains                                                                                   $110
The cost of delivering your selected urn to a local cemetery or your residence is included in the price of our packages, as long as the delivery address is within our service area. For shipping an urn via USPS to an address outside that radius but within the continental USA.
